Dr. Jamnadas is involved in a nationwide research study for the better understanding of gout and cardiovascular disease.
This is a clinical research study to evaluate the cardiovascular safety of febuxostat compared to allopurinol in people who have both gout and cardiovascular disease.

We are currently enrolling adults who have been diagnosed with gout and have a history of cardiovascular disease.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Men 50 years of age or older
• Women 55 years of age or older
• Diagnosed with gout
• Have a history of cardiovascular disease (i.e. strokes, coronary artery disease, diabetes, etc)

Roche Trial
Dr. Jamnadas is involved in the Roche Trial which is a nationwide research study.
The Roche Trial is a study to evaluate the potential use of Aleglitazar in the reduction of cardiovascular risks in patients with stable cardiovascular disease and glucose abnormalities.
Eligibility Criteria:
-
If you are atleast 40 years of age AND have had a cardiovascular event (i.e heart attack, stroke, etc.)
or
-
55 years of age with cardiovascular disease AND have an abnormal A1C level or diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes
