Tamaris Study

This is a research study for people with advanced Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and skin ulcers on the foot or leg.

The medication under investigation may offer you a treatment if surgery is not an option. Also, the medication may delay the need for an amputation.

To participate in this study, you must:

  • Be 50 years of age or older
  • Have stable skin ulcers or non-infected gangrene on a foot or leg
  • Be diagnosed with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) at the stage of Critical Limb Ischemia
  • Be unsuitable for by-pass/revascularization
  • Meet additional criteria

    Qualified participants will recieve all study-related care at no cost. This includes physical exams, study medications, eye exams, as well as cancer screenings.

Rocket Trial

The Rocket Trial is a research study for atrial fibrillation. To participate in this study, you must currently be on Coumadin and have persistent atrial fibrillation evidenced by your ECG.

The Rocket Trial is designed to establish whether an investigational drug called Rivaroxiban has fewer side effects than does Coumadin. Rivaroxiban is a product of Bayer Health Care Pharmaceuticals. The trial is a five year study and provides atrial fibrillation pratients a chance to participate in in this study, which may change the risk factors for those currently on Coumadin. This will also eliinate the inconvenience of having to undergo finger pricks on a monthly basis.

Qualified participants will receive all study-related care at no cost including physical exams, study medication, and monitoring of your blood results for the length of this trial. Participation in this trial is purely voluntary.
